Gray elves don't have wings?!
Rock Fall is a great idea for a spell, and I actually think it would come in handy in combat, too. Like Dave, I'd say there's no need to fret about it not being in the rules; just add it. There's nothing sacrosanct about this rules stuff--it's what makes the game more fun that matters. Heck, when we were kids, we played with hose rules that stipulated gray elves had wings. As did gray dwarves, whatever they were!
Here's the thing.. just make it up. If it doesn't exist in the books and it's not for combat anyway, just say you can do it. And if it doesn't have any mechanical impact on the game, what does it matter?
I've watched around half of the first season and really liked it. i especially liked the minority/student/lesbian/cop-that's-working-to-be-a-detective.

That's pretty bad ass--so long as it's kept out of the hands of elven pederasts.
Within one of the DnD games I'm in, I had a character create a new spell to help us in finding secret doors in dungeons. It's forbidden to simply have a spell show you secret doors below True Sight at 6th level, so he created one with a workaround. Elves have a natural ability to detect secret doors, so he conjures elf children to follow along behind while in dungeons and whisper to him when they see one.

We are in the last stages of the move, and we'll be out of contact until this weekend, most likely. Thanks for all your support.
I'm glad to hear you've found a place and have time to get there. Moving is always a stressful occasion.
